Os processos de deteriora\u00e7\u00e3o do concreto s\u00e3o variados e podem ser classificados em qu\u00edmicos, f\u00edsico-mec\u00e2nicos, biol\u00f3gicos e eletroqu\u00edmicos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dentre os tipos de rea\u00e7\u00f5es qu\u00edmicas as <strong>rea\u00e7\u00f5es expansivas<\/strong> podem ocasionar graves danos ao concreto das estruturas, porque os compostos da rea\u00e7\u00e3o ocasionam for\u00e7as de tens\u00e3o nos elementos estruturais, podendo levar \u00e0 sua <strong>fissura\u00e7\u00e3o, perda de desempenho mec\u00e2nico e de durabilidade<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Duas rea\u00e7\u00f5es qu\u00edmicas expansivas t\u00eam se destacado por sua recorr\u00eancia no concreto das estruturas de obras no Brasil e no mundo: a<strong> rea\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e1lcali-agregado<\/strong> e o <strong>ataque por sulfatos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/site.ibracon.org.br\/Site_revista\/Concreto_Construcoes\/Concreto_blog\/destaques\/saiba-o-que-sao-a-raa-e-a-def\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RAA<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>rea\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e1lcali-agregado (RAA)<\/strong>, especialmente a <strong>rea\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e1lcali-s\u00edlica (RAS)<\/strong>, \u00e9 uma intera\u00e7\u00e3o qu\u00edmica entre certos minerais siliciosos reativos presentes nos agregados do concreto e os hidr\u00f3xidos alcalinos contidos na solu\u00e7\u00e3o aquosa dos poros do concreto. Esses hidr\u00f3xidos alcalinos s\u00e3o principalmente formados durante o processo de hidrata\u00e7\u00e3o do cimento, em que a \u00e1gua reage quimicamente com as s\u00edlicas e os aluminatos do cimento, formando os compostos qu\u00edmicos que ser\u00e3o os respons\u00e1veis pela liga\u00e7\u00e3o dos agregados e, consequentemente, pelo endurecimento do concreto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A rea\u00e7\u00e3o entre os \u00e1lcalis e as s\u00edlicas reativas no concreto endurecido, na presen\u00e7a de umidade, forma produtos expansivos no interior da pe\u00e7a de concreto, que levam \u00e0 sua fissura\u00e7\u00e3o e deteriora\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>rea\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e1lcali-s\u00edlica<\/strong> tem sido comumente observada no concreto de estruturas de barragens de usinas hidrel\u00e9tricas e em funda\u00e7\u00f5es de edifica\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sua preven\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 extensamente conhecida e normalizada, como na norma brasileira <strong>ABNT NBR\u00a0 15577:2018<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ataque por sulfatos<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Os sulfatos s\u00e3o sais carregados para o concreto pelos cimentos e agregados (<strong>fontes internas<\/strong>) ou por \u00e1guas residuais industriais, \u00e1guas do subsolo, esgoto, \u00e1gua do mar, chuva \u00e1cida e \u00e1guas agr\u00edcolas contaminadas por fertilizantes (<strong>fontes externas<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Assim, o ataque por sulfatos pode ter uma fonte interna (<strong>ISA<\/strong>, <strong>ataque interno por sulfatos<\/strong>, na nomenclatura em ingl\u00eas) ou uma fonte externa (<strong>ESA, ataque externo por sulfatos<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Em geral, os \u00edons de sulfato livres em solu\u00e7\u00f5es aquosas nos poros do concreto reagem, ao longo do tempo, com compostos da pasta de cimento, gerando produtos expansivos, que fissuram e deterioram o concreto das estruturas de obras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Um caso especial \u00e9 a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de <strong><u>etringita tardia <\/u><\/strong>(<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/site.ibracon.org.br\/Site_revista\/Concreto_Construcoes\/Concreto_blog\/destaques\/saiba-o-que-sao-a-raa-e-a-def\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DEF<\/a><\/strong>, na sigla em ingl\u00eas). Nas situa\u00e7\u00f5es de elevado calor de hidrata\u00e7\u00e3o do cimento (a rea\u00e7\u00e3o de endurecimento do cimento \u00e9 exot\u00e9rmica, liberando calor) ou de curas t\u00e9rmicas em altas temperaturas, a <strong>etringita prim\u00e1ria<\/strong>, produto de hidrata\u00e7\u00e3o normal do cimento, torna-se inst\u00e1vel ou n\u00e3o se forma. Assim, os sulfatos que seriam consumidos para a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de etringita prim\u00e1ria ficam livres na solu\u00e7\u00e3o dos poros do concreto. Com o resfriamento do concreto (com a diminui\u00e7\u00e3o da din\u00e2mica de rea\u00e7\u00e3o de hidrata\u00e7\u00e3o), os sulfatos livres reagem quimicamente para formar a etringita ao longo do tempo, que, ent\u00e3o, passa a ocupar espa\u00e7os e gerar tens\u00f5es internas no concreto endurecido da estrutura. Sendo assim, a <strong>etringita tardia<\/strong> causa fissura\u00e7\u00f5es nas pe\u00e7as de concreto, o que afeta seu desempenho mec\u00e2nico e sua durabilidade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>DEF<\/strong> tem sido comumente observada em blocos de funda\u00e7\u00f5es de edifica\u00e7\u00f5es, em pe\u00e7as pr\u00e9-fabricadas e em estruturas de barragens. Em alguns casos, em sido observados casos conjugados de <strong>DEF e RAA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A preven\u00e7\u00e3o da DEF n\u00e3o conta ainda com normaliza\u00e7\u00e3o, mas uma medida muito \u00fatil \u00e9 limitar a temperatura de hidrata\u00e7\u00e3o do cimento ou de cura do concreto a valores de<strong> at\u00e9 60\u00b0C<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quanto \u00e0 preven\u00e7\u00e3o do <strong>ISA<\/strong>, a recomenda\u00e7\u00e3o da norma brasileira <strong>ABNT NBR 7211:2009<\/strong> \u00e9 a limita\u00e7\u00e3o do teor de sulfatos sol\u00faveis no agregado a 0,1%.
