Daniel V\u00e9ras Ribeiro \u00e9 engenheiro civil formado pela Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA), onde atualmente \u00e9 professor e coordenador do Laborat\u00f3rio de Ensaios em Durabilidade dos Materiais (LEDMa<\/a>), com mestrado e doutorado na \u00e1rea de Ci\u00eancia e Engenharia dos Materiais, pela Universidade Federal de S\u00e3o Carlos (UFSCar).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sua pesquisa sobre a influ\u00eancia da adi\u00e7\u00e3o da lama vermelha nas propriedades e na corrosibilidade do concreto armado, indicada pela UFSCar para o Concurso Nacional de Teses Marechal-do-Ar Casimiro Montenegro Filho, promovido pela Secretaria Nacional de Assuntos Estrat\u00e9gicos, ganhou a premia\u00e7\u00e3o em 2011.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diretor da Alconpat Brasil e do IBRACON na Bahia<\/a>, o Prof. Daniel Ribeiro assumiu, em 2018, a coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Comit\u00ea T\u00e9cnico 702<\/a> Procedimentos para Ensaios de Avalia\u00e7\u00e3o da Durabilidade das Estruturas de Concreto e, ap\u00f3s, mais de dois anos de reuni\u00f5es e discuss\u00f5es no \u00e2mbito dos cinco subcomit\u00eas formados, entrega para a comunidade t\u00e9cnica brasileira cinco Pr\u00e1ticas Recomendadas para realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de ensaios de durabilidade das estruturas de concreto<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Para ele, os crit\u00e9rios de durabilidade da norma brasileira de Projeto de Estruturas de Concreto (ABNT NBR 6118) n\u00e3o s\u00e3o suficientes para o dimensionamento de estruturas com Vida \u00datil de Projeto de 50 anos, como exige a norma brasileira de desempenho das edifica\u00e7\u00f5es habitacionais (ABNT NBR 15575).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Em raz\u00e3o disso, na sua avalia\u00e7\u00e3o, as Pr\u00e1ticas Recomendadas rec\u00e9m-lan\u00e7adas representam uma importante contribui\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 implanta\u00e7\u00e3o de ensaios padronizados de durabilidade dos concretos viabilizando atender satisfatoriamente \u00e0 determina\u00e7\u00e3o da norma brasileira de desempenho no tocante \u00e0 quest\u00e3o da vida \u00fatil de projeto. \u201cA cria\u00e7\u00e3o e aperfei\u00e7oamento dos indicadores de durabilidade para cada caso ser\u00e3o poss\u00edveis a partir do momento que tenhamos uma padroniza\u00e7\u00e3o nos ensaios\u201d, complementa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
