Santos e Guaruj\u00e1 s\u00e3o cidades separadas pelo Canal de Acesso ao Porto de Santos, com cerca de 500 metros de largura. Atualmente, a principal conex\u00e3o entre as cidades \u00e9 realizada por balsas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O projeto do T\u00fanel Imerso (IMT) \u00e9 uma alternativa complementar fixa para atender ao transporte e expans\u00e3o portu\u00e1ria da regi\u00e3o. Ele foi coordenado pela Secretaria dos Transportes Metropolitanos do Estado de S\u00e3o Paulo e desenvolvido entre 2015 e 2018. Com comprimento total de 1500 metros, o trecho imerso \u00e9 composto por seis elementos (TE) com comprimento de 145 metros cada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O t\u00fanel comportar\u00e1 seis faixas rodovi\u00e1rias em dois sentidos, com altura livre de 5,5 metros e duas galerias superpostas na c\u00e9lula central para passagem de pedestres e ciclistas, e abrigo de utilidades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Os seis TE ser\u00e3o constru\u00eddos em Doca Seca (DD) tempor\u00e1ria localizada em trecho de 500 metros do Acesso ao Guaruj\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ap\u00f3s constru\u00eddo cada lote de TE e inundada a DD, os TEs flutuar\u00e3o e ser\u00e3o rebocados e estacionados temporariamente. Eles ser\u00e3o posteriormente dispostos e juntados por meio de Junta de Fechamento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
